Power Yoga at Pursuit with Kristin McCoy
Power Yoga is a dynamic, athletic style of yoga comprised of flowing sequences of movement which are coordinated with breathing. Benefits include improved strength, flexibility, and coordination, as well as better mood, mental clarity, and stress reduction. Each class will include instruction about alignment and how to adapt yoga postures so that each individual can have a safe and fun practice.
Ages: 18+ (12-18 with a parent)
Kristin McCoy (ERYT-200) is a professional yoga instructor and dance artist. She has been practicing yoga for 10 years, teaching for 5, and has taught more than 1500 hours. Kristin specializes in Vinyasa and Ashtanga Yoga, Yoga Anatomy, and Meditation, and has been a lead trainer for three 200 hour yoga teacher training programs. She received her yoga teaching certification from the Kripalu School of Yoga & Arts in 2011, and has completed 300 hours of advanced training with Pranakriya Yoga. Kristin also has a BFA Dance from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, and teaches dance as well.
